The following is from Dr. John Braswell, Gulf South Blueberry Growers Association:
Dear Blueberry Grower:
A Blueberry Harvester Demonstration is scheduled for November 13, 2012 at 9:00 AM at the Giles Farm in Waynesboro, MS.
As most of you know, one of the blueberry harvesters, scheduled to be at our recent Field Day and Trade Show, was absent. The McKibben Harvester is an inexpensive pull-along blueberry harvester, suitable for small or young blueberry operations. There was a lot of interest in this harvester and disappointment that it was not there to see and compare to the other harvesters. Jeff Mckibben promised to bring it down and demonstrate it. True to his word, he will be at the Giles Farm Tuesday, November 13 at 9:00 AM to demonstrate the new harvester. A preview of the McKibben harvester can be seen at: http://www.mckibbenmfg.com/ . Jeff also makes some excellent grading equipment. Some of his equipment is in use at the Giles Farm and he will be glad to discuss it with you as well as any other equipment he makes.
I hope you will be able to see the Harvester Demonstration 9:00 AM, Tuesday, Nov. 13. Judging from the interest at the Trade Show, I expect a good crowd. If you have any questions, give me a call or send me an email.
Here are directions to the farm again so you do not have any trouble finding it:
From I-59 in Laurel, MS – Travel East 29 miles on Highway 84 to Waynesboro. Take Highway 45 South and travel 2 miles.
