Weed Control in Fruits and Nuts

Weeds are a significant pest of fruit and nut plants.  Controlling them is never as easy as it seems like it should be.  Problems like lack of available product, poor efficacy, and high price tags are all things that growers face with weed control.  Half of the battle is knowing what is labeled in a particular state — there are so many products and many have similar names and modes of action.  So, to help with this dilemma, the Mississippi State University Weed Science Committee has put together the 2013 Weed Control Guidelines for Mississippi.   In it you can find product names, target crops, rates and other important information.  Start on page 159 for the Fruits and Nuts section, but there are other sections you might be interested in as well.
