TriState Pecan Meeting Field Day

Last week I went to the TriState Pecan meeting field day that was held in Raymond, Mississippi.  It was a great day, sunny and hot.  The crowd number exceeded expectations.  I was able to interact with a number of folks from Mississippi, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Alabama, Louisiana, and Florida (and maybe more).  In the past few years I have been at a number of these field days and they are always educational.  What I like is that they create a relaxed atmosphere where folks can interact and feel comfortable doing so.  The meeting this year was hosted by the Mississippi Pecan Growers Association (http://www.mspecans.org/). Donna Hamlin Beliech, MSU Area Horticulture Agent, was kind enough to share some photos of the field day.  See them below.  I encourage anyone interested in Mississippi pecans to join the organization.
